Responsibilities: Work with the team to implement, manage and support virtual infrastructureWork with the team to ensure stable environment , availability, reliability and service ability of server infrastructure.Analyses and resolves end user software programs and connectivity issues in a timely manner.Manages , administrates and support Solaris and Linux servers and their associated hardware.Implements and supports disaster recovery plan.Provide on call support and participate in oncall rotation ( 24X7X365 days as and when needed)Assesses need for any system reconfigurations and executes when they are planned.Supports predefined policies, procedures and best practises pertinent to Unix servers.Lead and participate projects of varying complexity within the distributed server team.Provide support in or more technical areas.Scope of work: This role provides the operational and project support required to maintain the distributed servers vital to customer business. Clients rely on systems being available round the clock and our team is responsible for making that happen. It requires a broad range of technical knowledge and skills , basic analytical skills to resolve issues in order to minimize their impact and to ensure that the problem is not repeated.Required knowledge /skills: Familiar with best practises in an infrastructure network.Excellent business communication skill.Ability to prioritize work , take ownership and follow them through resolution.Significant experience in Solaris 10,11 and Redhat enterprise Linux 6/7Experienced in working in Solaris containers/zones, vsphere , powerVm and OVM hypervisors.Hands on experience in managing Sun Sparc, x86, ALOM, XCSF, iLOM , OVM managerKnowledge on LDAP, Kerberos, NIS, NTP, TCP/IPHands on experience in patching for all environments ( Solaris and Linux)Knowledge on scripting should be considered as a bonus.Experience of being part of previous DR activities.Job Types: Part-time, ContractPay: $50.00 per hourSchedule:
