Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Check all receivables as they arrive against Bill of Lading
- Direct truck to proper dock area (if required) - Fill sales orders in a timely manner
  • Provide support/assistance to Shipping Supervisor/Dispatch and other areas when necessary (loaders/sales/foreman)
  • Prepare and distribute all Bills of Lading correctly
  • Ensure all employees and drivers obey safety regulations
  • Responsible for signing in packages and supplies
  • Always work safely, adhering to all Health & Safety policies Operate forklift
  • Experience completing customs papers an asset
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Able to lift up to 100lbs at a time if needed
  • Experience operating a lift truck license is a must
  • Experience with Microsoft Office is an asset SAM123 This position involves processing incoming and outgoing orders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Accurately pick, pack, ship, receive and confirm orders for domestic and export customers
  • Physically able to perform job related tasks including lifting up to 100 pounds
  • Ship, receive & inspect truckloads of material to ensure quantity, identification and appropriate packaging is damage free.
  • Participate in daily cycle counting and annual physical inventory
  • Work all shifts and overtime scheduled as required
  • Work in compliance with all Samuel Safety Standards at all times
  • Report Safety & Material deficiencies, participate in root cause investigations then help implement solutions
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Perform production duties such as manual lifting of metal pieces
  • Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations
  • Perform related duties as required by supervision
  • Ensures bundle measurements are accurate
  • Other duties as assigned.
