You will work on a team tasked with watering services to preserve the natural beauty of the city. This includes:

  • Water all plants, trees, flower beds, lawns etc. by getting out of the truck and using the hose attached to the water truck.
  • Be able to read city maps and enter data on computer/iPad.
  • Complete time logs and vehicle inspection logs daily.
  • Maintain and clean the vehicle on a regular basis.
  • Able to work on weekends as required.
  • Ability to report to Supervisor on a daily basis.
Working Conditions: This position requires physically demanding work in all types of working and weather conditions.Qualifications:
  • A valid Class 5 Driver’s License (or provincial equivalent) with no more than six demerits, or charges pending is required. 3-year Drivers Abstract must be provided on hire. GDL drivers arent eligible for this position.
  • Previous experience with driving Trucks and equipment, construction work or landscape work would be considered an asset.
  • Experience driving a 1 or 2 ton truck carrying liquids.
  • Must be able to drive manual.
  • Ability to use GPS/computer will be considered an asset.
  • A High School diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED) will be considered an asset.
APX is looking for serious candidates who can provide a good record of attendance and maintain a responsible work ethic.Competencies:

  • Awareness and knowledgeable about the safety regulations, rules and requirements
