Role Overview:As a Senior Designer/Checker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of designs for modular skidded process equipment. This position requires expertise in CADWorx and a strong background in pressure vessels, piping systems, and structural design. Familiarity with Tekla is a valuable asset.Key Responsibilities:
  • Designamp; Drafting: Develop detailed designs for modular equipment, ensuring compliance with industry codes and standards.
  • Checkingamp; Quality Assurance: Perform thorough checks on designs and drawings to ensure accuracy and constructability.
  • Collaborationamp; Leadership: Work with engineers, project managers, and fabricators to ensure seamless project execution and mentor junior designers as needed.
  • Technology Integration: Utilize CADWorx and Tekla (as applicable) while staying updated on advancements in design software.
RequirementsTechnical Expertise:
  • Proficiency in CADWorx and experience with modular skidded equipment design.
  • Strong understanding of pressure vessels, piping systems, and structural design principles.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (ASME, API).
Experience:
  • Significant experience in design and drafting roles within the oil and gas industry.
  • Hands-on fabrication or manufacturing experience is an asset.
Software Skills:
  • Proficiency in CADWorx and familiarity with Tekla.
  • Knowledge of additional 3D design tools is a plus.
Education:
  • Diploma or certification in Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) or a related field.
Soft Skills:
  • Attention to detail, strong communication, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
