We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, with the ability to interpret blueprints, work with various materials, and execute construction and renovation projects. The Carpenter will be responsible for crafting, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures, ensuring that projects are completed accurately and within specified timelines. Restaurant construction is an asset.Responsibilities:â— Interpret Blueprints: Read and interpret construction blueprints to understand project specifications, dimensions, and materials required.â— Material Selection: Select and source appropriate materials for each project, considering functionality, durability, and cost-effectiveness.â— Measurements and Layout: Take precise measurements and mark cutting lines on materials, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project plans.â— Cutting and Shaping: Use hand and power tools to cut, shape, and assemble materials according to design specifications.â— Installation:Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, doors, cabinets, and trim, ensuring proper fit and functionality.â— Repair and Maintenance: Diagnose and repair damaged or faulty structures, fixtures, and furniture, extending their lifespan.â— Team Collaboration: Work closely with other construction professionals, including architects, electricians, and plumbers, to ensure seamless project execution.â— Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to create safe working environment for yourself and your team.â— Quality Assurance: Inspect and ensure the quality of finished products, identifying and correcting any defects or issues.â— Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and find creative solutions to challenges that may arise during construction or renovation projects.Qualifications:â— Proven experience as a Carpenter, with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse carpentry projects.â— Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings is an asset.â— Excellent knowledge of various carpentry techniques and materials.â— Skilled in using a variety of hand and power tools.â— Has a variety of own tools (tool allowance provided).â— Strong attention to detail and precision in measurements and cutting.â— Ability to work independently and as part of a team.â— Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.â— Knowledge of safety procedures and willingness to adhere to them.â— High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational or technical training is a plus.â— Own transportation to get to and from the job site (locally).â— Ability to travel for out of town work.How to Apply: Interested candidates should submit their resume detailing their relevant experience totrevor.yarham@thecanadianbrewhouse.com.Please includequot;CarpenterApplication quot; in the subject line.
