Job Description

Maintenance Person/ReceiverElmsdale, NSAssociated Maritime Pharmacies Limited (AMP Ltd.), operating under the Guardian® banner, has been serving Atlantic Canada for over 40 years. As your neighbourhood pharmacy, we are committed to promoting the overall health and wellness of each and every resident. All locations are locally owned and operated.We currently have an opportunity on our team for a Maintenance Person/ReceiverResponsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager
  • Carry out general maintenance and repairs as required at any one of our locations
  • Have the ability to organize multiple quotes for various types of jobs and projects
  • Respond to emergency requests
  • Have the ability to organize small renovations or projects which will include organizing multiple trades
  • Maintain and ensure generators are operational at several of our locations
  • Be part of a team that operates the generators at our locations whenever necessary
  • Help maintain the exterior of the properties which could include washing windows, cleaning up debris on the property, painting and small repairs
  • Support our receiving team at our Elmsdale location with unloading trucks and receiving inventory whenever required
  • You will be required to organize, load and deliver product to all of our locations with our company delivery vehicle whenever necessary
  • Assist in changing the road signs for some of our stores which will include a ladder
  • Be prepared support the team by performing other duties that may come up
Qualifications:
  • Minimum grade 12
  • General trade experience an asset
  • The ability to use several trades tools
  • Time management, multi-tasking and organizational skills
  • Ability to work as a good supportive team member
  • Good communication skills, written and verbally
  • Basic e-mail and phone capabilities
  • Ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision
  • Renovation experience an asset
  • Problem solving abilities
  • Attention to detail
  • Valid drivers license
Other information: This position full-time, permanent and includes day shift, night shifts, weekends and some holidays. This position, available immediately will be compensated based on experience and include Health and Dental insurance, Life insurance, parking and a store discount. COVID considerations: All staff are required to wear masks when inside the store and are required to be up to date on their COVID-19 vaccines.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $17.00-$22.00 per hourBenefits:
