Job Description

A little bit about our companyGlueckler Metal Inc., first established through trial and error in the family-owned garage back in 1985, is a family-owned operation that has evolved over the past 30+ years to become a world-class precision machining, high volume, SRC (Safety Related Components) parts supplier within the automotive and heavy transportation industries. Currently employing around 100 team members, much of our staff have become like family, many having served 20 or even 30 years with the company. The strength of our team to continuously overcome the challenges of our ever-changing industry forms the backbone of our organization. Over the years, GMI has acquired over 30 multi-spindle, multi-axis CNC Machining centers while continuously working towards automating processes to eliminate as many manual requirements from our staff base as possible.With 4 set operational shifts, plus our office and administrative shifts, opportunities within various departments may become available. In 2021 especially, GMI has adopted the concept of establishing various departmental “teams” across the organization, consisting of members within different levels of the organization to meet regularly to discuss ongoing initiatives within each department. We feel the benefits of having established this team approach across the organization allow for increased communication, and for the importance behind each department and position to be taken into consideration when reaching company decisions.What we’ll bring to the table!Compensation will consist of an hourly rate, subject to additional compensation in the form of company bonuses and incentives.We offer an additional vacation accrual rate above and beyond employment standards, starting at a base of 6%.Company health and dental benefits are available upon completion of the probationary period.Other incentives include; PPE reimbursements, uniform rentals, years of service awards and bonuses, company events, company lunches, and so much moreShifts Offered:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Accurately complete in-process machining inspection requirements throughout the shift
  • Ability to troubleshoot and verify a variety of measurement instruments
  • Inspect, process, and package-specific product lines on a continuous basis
  • Report non-conforming conditions on the production line
  • Support Production in identifying, reporting and organizing sorting of non-Conforming material
  • Understand material, product identification and traceability
  • Maintain cleanliness & organization of work area
  • Perform dock audits & data entry as required
  • Update and maintain material rejection & scrap logs
  • Perform receiving Inspection
  • Support production new hire training initiatives
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Completed courses in specific trade schools related to this job is an asset
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in manufacturing or Quality related role
WORKING CONDITIONS: Physical DemandsThe physical demands of a Lead Manufacturing Process Technician must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position requires the ability to handle weight up to 50lbs (23kg), able to work standing for extended periods of time.Environmental ConditionsWhile performing the essential functions of this job, the quality inspector will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and may encounter moving mechanical parts, Forklift and Overhead Crane traffic, congested work areas, slippery floors, moderate noise levels and heat.In accordance with Accessibilities for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005, Glueckler Metal Inc. will provide accommodation throughout the recruitment and selection process for applicants with disabilities.Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Internship / Co-opSalary: $17.00 per hourAdditional pay:
