Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Duty MechanicWe are a Concrete Supply Company, looking for a Heavy Duty Mechanic to do repairs and maintenance on our fleet. We have a variety of different make and models of Redi-mix trucks, Tractor and Trailer units, as well as variety of construction equipment. We are looking an experienced technician who has strong mechanical and diagnostic skills,focusing on diagnosing and fixing complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and is versatile for working on various types of equipment.We offer:

What you will be doing:
  • Diagnosis and Repair:
    • Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on heavy vehicles and equipment.
    • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve problems.
    • Repair or replace defective parts, including engines, transmissions, axles, brakes, and other components.
  • Maintenance:
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as changing fluids, lubricating parts, and inspecting components.
    • Follow the manufacturer #39;s specifications and procedures for maintenance and repair.
  • Overhaul and Reassembly:
    • Disassemble and reassemble heavy equipment and components.
    • Overhaul major components, such as engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
Other Duties:
  • Travel to worksites to repair equipment.
  • Work with drivers to understand their concerns and properly diagnose any issues.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
  • Extensive knowledge of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
Pay Hourly: Wage negotiable. Expected hours: 40 hours per week. Overtime and weekends as needed.
