This is how we at Prattamp; Whitney approach our work, and this is why we are inspired to go beyond.What our expectations are As a part of the Manufacturing IT group in Plant 41, work to provide and implement solutions, improvements and opportunities on manufacturing lines and automated processes. You will be an integral part in redefining operations to bring Halifax manufacturing to Industry 4.0 standards.What your day to day will look likeProvide solutions to device related manufacturing problems Maintain newly installed and legacy computer, network, hardware, and software systems, troubleshoot software, hardware, and network problems, disaster recovery preparedness. Introduce, maintain, and optimize technical solutions for existing systems Upgrading or innovating operating systems with automation solutions, with an end goal of Industry 4.0 Analyze, design, and implement short- and long-term solutions to improve manufacturing capabilities Implement programming initiatives to improve manufacturing equipment and processes Provide support to 24/7 operations – may involve working outside of normal working hours or shift work Commitment to EH amp;S and Quality objectives Provide project updates via presentations to leadership Work closely with operators, area specialists and leadership to gather feedback to create opportunities that address the needs of manufacturing linesThe tools you need to be successfulComputer Science Degree from a recognized post secondary institution or an equivalent education Minimum of 2 years experience in an automated manufacturing environment or integration related work Experience programming in a Windows environment Experience with Web based programming Strong Project Management Skills Ability to understand business requirements, and transform them into innovative technological solutions Passion for new technologies Proven ability to liaison with outside suppliers Independent, self-motivated Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively in a team environment Results and performance oriented with demonstrated successes in continuous improvement Proven analytical skillsWhat we offerLong-term deferred compensation programs Advancement programs to enhance education skills Flexible work schedules, including remote work arrangements Leadership and training programs Comprehensive benefits, savings, and pension plans Reward programs for outstanding workDiversity, Equityamp; Inclusion P amp;WC is an equal opportunities employer, seeking to promote diversity and inclusion.
