Promote, lead, and execute a Safety-First culture for all employees, sub-contractors, and consultants in compliance with Miller Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) polices and ensure contractual HSE obligation for the staff and public are metOperation of spreader, plow or combo units in a safe and efficient mannerMake snow and ice control decisions during the winterResponsible for road maintenance on highwaysRespond to emergency situations such as spills, accidents, inclement weather and assist in implementing an emergency planProvide traffic control, including the set up and take down of traffic control signsMaintain accurate documentation, including hours of service, fuel records, incident reports, time sheets, diaries, logs etc.Other duties as assignedRequirements:Class D commercial license with air brake endorsement (Z) and clean abstract, requiredExperience in winter operations (snow and ice control) along with knowledge of OTM book 7, is an assetWillingness to learn and appreciate Miller Values - Safety, Quality, and Integrity so we can continue “Building Greatness”Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety ActEffective team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skillsWillingness to work and drive in extreme weather conditionsWillingness to work a flexible schedule, and remain on call as requiredWe will contact candidates selected for an interview.
