Job Description

The CompanyGrowers Supply Company Limited, a long established supplier of agricultural and irrigation products, is currently seeking a motivated and dedicated individual for a full-time Seasonal Warehouse Person position at our Creston location.The Warehouse Person handles the receipt and shipment of goods, along with other warehouse duties as assigned.The Role

• Load and unload incoming/outgoing freight
• Adhere to procedures regarding transportation of goods
• Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods
• Prepare orders by pulling stock
• Clean warehouse for purpose of maintaining clean and sanitary workspace
• Unpack and route goods to appropriate storage areas in yard, warehouse or customer job sites
• Maintain accurate and orderly files and records
• Collaborate well with co-workers and management to solve problems
• Ensure effective communication to improve decision making processes

The Candidate

• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Advanced planning and organizational skills
• Must have high attention to safety
• Conscious and aware of surroundings
• Physically fit to work in strenuous conditions
• Conditioned to work both indoors and outdoors
• Able to work with pesticides and understands the purpose for applications
• Able to work well in fast paced, high pressure environment
• 2+ years’ experience forklift, shipping and receiving an asset
