Job Description

Operating Labour Pool OpportunitiesDomtar Inc., Specialty Papers Division, Espanola Operations is currently looking for looking for energetic and dedicated people to join our team - Operating Labour Pool – Entry Level Positions.As an integrated mill, Espanola operates one pulp machine for making specialty hardwood and softwood pulps, and two paper machines that produce more than 300 different types of paper. The Espanola mills competitive difference is people and technology. Espanola ranks among the most innovative mills in North America. The Espanola Mill is ISO 9001 certified. Our FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) chain of custody certification, along with ISO 14001, also places us in the North American forefront.EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION

  • Post-secondary education or secondary school diploma with 2 years of work/industrial experience is required.
  • Industrial experience is an asset
  • Experience with operating machinery is an asset
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
  • Safety conscious Self-motivated Ability to prioritize multiple tasks Ability to read, understand and follow work instructions in a safe, accurate and timely manner.
  • Candidates must demonstrate good verbal and written communications skills Ability to work independently as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Willing to adapt and work in an inclusive work environment
  • Willing to perform repetitive tasks
  • Must be able to lift, up to 50lbs
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Complete physically demanding tasks
  • Detail orientated
  • Other duties as assigned
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • This position involves shift work and 12 hour shifts (rotating days and nights)
  • The Espanola Mill runs 24 hours/day, 7 days/week
  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Frequent exposure to extreme hot and cold weather conditions
