This is a 0.75 or full-time position with the successful candidate starting immediately.The Finance Officer oversees the finance department. This position is responsible for accounts payable and receivable, payroll, preparation of budgets, completion of month-end and year-end accounting and reporting, preparation of the audit and maintenance of accurate and up-to-date records. This person will also assist in answering phones, front desk coverage, and some administrative tasks.It would be an asset to have experience working with a Christian charity or non-profit, experience and/or education in accounting or financial services, experience with Simply Accounting, ability to work independently, good verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.The Finance Officer reports to the President and Board of Directors.The Finance Officer is encouraged to incorporate time in chapel, private prayer, and mentoring of students into their work lives.
