Our customers’ needs and expectations are at the forefront of our operations, and we strive to deliver exceptional service at every turn.Class 1 DRIVER Responsibilities:

1. Must have valid Class 1 driver’s license.
2. Must have a minimum of 2 years Class 1 long haul experience (running Canada wide or Canada/US) with at least two consecutive winters
3. Must have reefer experience and some mechanical knowledge.
4. Clean Abstract with ZERO moving violations (Example Speeding) with less than 5 demerits. (MUST PROVIDE A 10 YEAR COMMERCIAL ABSTRACT FOR ALL PROVINCES WHERE A CLASS 1 COMMERCIAL LICENSE HAS BEEN HELD)
5. Must be willing to work a 5 day schedule (3 days on road, 2 days shunting)

SHUNTER Responsibilities:

1. Must have a minimum of 2 years of shunting experience and be able to shunt 150+ moves PER DAY
2. Follow customer yard procedures (speed)
3. Follow customer reefer procedures
4. Update operations of any shortage of equipment
5. Update maintenance of any mechanical concerns on trailers
6. Pre and post trip the shunt truck assigned to you at the beginning and end of your shift
7. Maintained and replenish functional load bars and straps in stock inside the utility trailer at Costco Yard
8. Advise Operations of any environmental spills at the customer yard
9. Place dangerous goods paperwork to the respective trailer
10. Sweep trailers of any debris during your shift
11. Follow additional instructions that Lead Shunter or Management ay assign to you

Compensation Structure:DRIVING RATES: (3 days per week)

• Starting rate of $28.12/hr for AB Regional (Edmonton, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat etc.) ** Yearly pay increases **
• Paid wait time at hourly rate
• Paid weekly through payroll
• Paid 2 day in class training and paid 3 days in cab training
• Newer International trucks and a fleet which is renewed every 3-4 years

SHUNTING RATES: (2 days per week)

• Starting rate of $29.29/hr
  • ** Yearly pay increases **
