Position Title: Batter Sanitation OperPosition Type: Regular - Full-TimePosition Location: Florenceville PotatoRequisition ID: 9394DATE: June 14th, 2021JOB TITLE: Batter / Sanitation OperatorDEPARTMENT: ProcessingJOB GRADE: Grade 5GRADE RANGE: $19.96-21.82 Per HourMcCain Foods (Canada), Florenceville French Fry facility is currently looking for a Full Time Batter/Sanitation Operator.Qualifications:Grade 12 or GED would be considered an assetSuccessful completion of training periodMust be able to work shifts on a rotating basisKnowledge of computer operations an assetAbility to respond to unexpected circumstances calmly and responsiblyAbility to accept and embrace change in the day to day operationsHave completed or be willing to complete a forklift training courseAble to work in a high humidity, high temperature environmentResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:Follows mixing procedures precisely and monitors the consistency of the batter to ensure adequate coverage of the product.Formulates proper ingredient mixtures for different products.Maintains a strict inventory of raw ingredients and ensures proper rotationEmployee will be assigned to regular sanitation responsibilities on the processing line.Ensures ingredients and equipment are free of foreign material and are in good condition so as not to contaminate the product.Participate in team meetings, as requiredOperates all of the equipment associated with the mixing and application of French Fry batter.Carry out planned sanitation duties when battered product is not runningQuality checks of finished product must be monitored to ensure customer satisfactionPerform standard tests to ensure ingredient and finished qualityEnsure all equipment is in good working condition and report any issuesCleaning / housekeeping of batter / fryer areaFilling out paperwork and entering data on computer accurately and efficientlyCommunicate any changes, issues, etc. to other operators through logbooks. Must maintain all required documentation and check sheets.Ensure SQCDPE targets are met by understanding and goal setting of KPI’sMust follow “Good Manufacturing Practices” (GMP’s)Willing to train and learn the Fryer Operator’s duties and act as a Backup Break OperatorOther duties as assigned.McCain Foods is an equal opportunity employer.
