Position Title: BI Platform SpecialistPosition Type: Regular - Full-TimePosition Location: Florenceville GTCGrade: Grade 04Requisition ID: 18090Position SummarySenior Business Intelligence Engineer & Administrator is primarily responsible for analyzing, designing and developing datasets, dimensional data models, reports and dashboards to support enterprise reporting and analytical requirements. Also responsible for administering and maintaining the Business Intelligence environments and provide day-to-day operational support.Duties and responsibilities

• Work with the team on the design, development and production support of a range of analytics products using Power BI and Microstrategy tools etc.,
• Analyze and evaluate new data requirements for business intelligence dashboards and reports and collaborate with the data engineering team to develop complex datasets.
• Identifying, designing and implementing internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery and visualizations, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
• Own, troubleshoot and resolve complex data issues for the business.
• Define and implement data security model across all business intelligence products including row level security.
• Engage in design sessions, peer reviews, pattern/code reviews.
• Provide mentoring and coaching to junior/mid-level developers.
• Manage, monitor, and administer our BI Platform tools (Power BI, Microstrategy etc.)
• Responsible for configuration, optimization, installation, troubleshooting for the Business Intelligence environments.
• Coordinate and communicate planned upgrades, enhancements and maintenance outage windows.
• Maintain system metrics to track trends in usage and system health.
• Experienced with BI for Compliance, Auditing, data privacy, data classification, security and controlling access to BI tools.
• Experienced with managing the performance and scalability of BI tools.
• Supports day to day administration, monitoring and health checks.
• Having ability and willingness to learn new technologies and processes to better help to maintain the smooth functioning of On-premises and cloud Datawarehouse environments.
• Strong communication and presentation skills and must possess exceptional ability to work well with individuals and teams at all levels.

QualificationEducation

• Bachelor or Masters in Computer Science, Information Management, Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience.

Work Experience

• 8+ years of experience in developing dashboards, reports, data models, dimensions and metrics/measures in Power BI, Microstrategy and other self service analytics tools such as Tableau and Qlik etc.,
• 3+ years of demonstrated experience with Power BI.

Technical knowledge, Abilities, and skills

• Experience in data preparation, BI projects to understand business requirements in BI context and understand data model to transform raw data into meaningful insights using Power BI and Microstrategy.
• Good experience in creation of dashboard, report, KPI Scorecard and transforming the manual reports using Power BI.
• Expert level in Power BI Preferred and other BI Tools.
• Strong experience with DAX, M.
• Experience with Common Data Service (CDS).
• High proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with concept of Microsoft’s Azure Modern Data Warehouse platform such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse Analytics,
• Business and analytical thinker, with an ability to create BI solutions based on data analytics
• Knowledge on handling DEV/UAT/PROD promotion activities using Power BI.
• Knowledge on user management, Security, performance tuning and optimization techniques for reports in Power BI.
• Strong knowledge of database programming languages including Azure SQL, DB2, and TERADATA.
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and capable of applying it.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Nice to have knowledge on Power apps, Power automate and Office 365
