Position Title: Temporary General Labourer (6 Month Contract)Position Type: Temporary Full-TimePosition Location: Florenceville Prepared FoodsGrade: $15.99 / HourRequisition ID: 9270McCain Foods (Canada) – Florenceville Prepared Foods, is currently looking for Temporary General Labourer(s) (6 Month Contract) to complete our team. The successful candidates will be trained in various areas of the Prepared Foods facility as general labourer. Please note that this position is physically demanding.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Follow JHA’s and work safely. Participate in STEP program (Behavioral safety observations)Interpret mixing formulas - Weighing, Mixing and blending of ingredients to recipe.Cleaning and Sanitation of equipment. Maintaining a neat work area; daily housekeeping report of the areaResponsible for identification and reporting of product quality issues.QUALIFICATIONS:Grade 12 or GED requiredMust be able to work shifts on a rotating basisAbility to perform repetitive activitiesAbility to keep up with the physical demands of roleAbility to lift approximately 35-40 lbs. on a continuous basisAbility to learn and function within different jobs in the plantAbility to respond to unexpected circumstances calmly and responsiblyAbility to accept and embrace change in the day to day operationsAbility to work with chemicals ie. cleaning suppliesAbility to work in a team environmentAbility to work with minimal supervisionKnowledge of computer operations an assetMust have good mathematical skills and complete production forms accurately and neatlySuccessful completion of 90 day training periodDUTIES:Responsible for following all safety requirementsOperates all of the equipment associated with the job assigned toMakes minor adjustments to machines to improve qualityResponsible for timing out ingredients to ensure shift completion or change overResponsible for following change over policy and requirementsResponsible for some sanitation dutiesTrouble shoot, adjust and maintain equipment as required.Must follow “Good Manufacturing Practices” (GMP’s) and Critical Control Points (CCP’s).Ensure SQCDPE targets are met by understanding and goal setting of KPI’s.Relay information to other Team members as an area Lead (Key Area Resource).All additional duties as they become assigned.Applicants must possess a good safety record and continually demonstrate “safety first.” Interviews will held as necessary and those selected for interview are determined based on meeting the criteria as noted above.
