Position Title: General Labourer ProductionPosition Type: Regular - Full-TimePosition Location: Florenceville PotatoRequisition ID: 8002DATE: April 14th, 2021JOB TITLE: General LabourerDEPARTMENT: ProductionJOB GRADE: Grade 1GRADE RANGE: ($15.99 - $17.40)McCain Foods (Canada) Florenceville Potato Processing Plant, has a brand-new, state-of-the-art potato specialty production line and is currently looking for General Labourers to join our team.DUTIES:Responsible for following all safety requirements.Material handling of 25 kg boxes and bags.Responsible for following change over policy and requirements.Responsible for some sanitation dutiesTrouble shoot, adjust and maintain equipment as required.Must follow “Good Manufacturing Practices” (GMP’s) and Critical Control Points (CCP’s).Ensure SQCDPE targets are met by understanding and goal setting of KPI’s.Relay information to other Team members as an area Lead (Key Area Resource).Follow JHA’s and work safely. Participate in STEP program (Behavioral safety observations)Dealing with production issues, working in a fast-paced team environmentParticipate in Team meetings, as required.Responsible for the yearly completion of the Performance Excellence Program (PEP) training and evaluation.Complete core curriculum E-learning coursesAll additional duties as they become assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:Grade 12 education or GEDBasic computer skills would be an assetAbility to work well with plant supervision and production employeesTeam player with excellent attendanceSuccessful completion of 90 day training periodMust have good mathematical skills and complete production forms accurately and neatlyDemonstrate continuous initiatives and involvementHighly motivated, observant with good initiative and a positive attitude.Good verbal and written communication skills.Must be able to work in a fast paced environment adapting to and embracing change as it occurs.Willing to work shift work; nights and weekends.Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.Must possess a good safety record and demonstrate “safety first’’ on a continual basis.If you wish to be considered for the above vacancy, please apply online on theMcCaintranet/Careers section by April 19th, 2021McCain Foods is an equal opportunity employer.
