JOB SUMMARYIf you are looking for the perfect place where your upbeat and positive personality would be welcome, consider becoming a Line / Prep Cook at the the Amsterdam Inn & Suites - Exit 153 Restaurant. This position reports to Head Chef, the Line Cook will prepare delicious meals according to the menu. The line cook must be able to follow instructions in cooking and delivering well-prepared meals.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESThe following is a list of the essential duties and responsibilities of this job.· Setting up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment· Preparing ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)· Cooking food in various utensils or grillers· Cleaning and sanitizing workstations as required according to the company’s standards· Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.· Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions· Clean up station and take care of leftover food· Stock inventory appropriately· Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion· Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards· Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customersJob Requirements· Previous cooking experience is an asset.· Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures· Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.· Essential to be a team player assisting others as required.Other Requirement: · Must be eligible to work in Canada.Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, PermanentPart-time hours: 25- 40 per weekSalary: $13.00-$15.00 per hourAdditional pay:
