We are currently seeking a results-oriented team player in Florenceville-Bristol, NB in the role of Manager, Crop Protection Products. Reporting directly to the Director Crop Inputs and Agronomy, this role is responsible for developing strategies and plans related to our crop protection distribution business and fully supporting the organization in executing those plans.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop a go-to-market strategy of crop protection productsP&L responsibility for the crop protection business.Manage relationships with various suppliers of Crop Protection and related products.Negotiate competitive supply agreements with suppliers.Develop marketing plans and price lists for the sales team.Establish budgets and forecasts for the business.Analyze sales data and communicate to management and the sales team.Effectively manage inventory levels over multiple sites.Arrange and/or provide product training as required for our staff.Working with our sales team, establish direct contact with key accounts.Provide product and agronomic support to the sales team.Proactively, pursue opportunities to offer new technologies to our customers.Ensure compliance with government, industry and company regulations.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEB.S. degree in Agriculture (or relevant experience)A minimum of 3-5 years’ business experience, ideally in sales/product management of crop protection productsTechnical agronomy knowledge requiredAgriculture/crop input knowledge and experience requiredRetail crop protection operations experienceDemonstrated experience in product distribution and marketingExperience developing and facilitating training programsREQUIRED COMPETENCIESEffective communication skills (both oral and written) with the ability to interact with all levels of the organizationMust have exceptional analytical skills and be able to work with complex dataExcellent problem solving, organization and planning skillsStrong drive for results and collaborationExcellent computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)McCain Foods is an equal opportunity employer that welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities.
