Job Description

Position Title: Platform Support Analyst - SAPPosition Type: Regular - Full-TimePosition Location: Florenceville GTC OR Toronto HQGrade: Grade 04Requisition ID: 14929JOB PURPOSE:Reporting to the Director IT Operations & Platform Support, the Platform Support Analyst – SAP, is responsible for the effective operation of the underlying technologies supporting the SAP platform.The Platform Support Analyst – SAP works alongside our managed service providers to ensure the SAP environment is stable, scalable, and operating at optimal performance.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Effectively utilizes interpersonal skills to analyze requirements to ensure effective delivery of SAP Operations. Develops tactical implementation plans for quarterly maintenance and other system related activities.
  • Builds and maintains relationships within Technology and digital functions and with vendors in order to deliver projects. Keeps abreast of the current McCain Information Technology standards as well as industry trends while educating themselves on industry best practices.
  • Analyzes work packages for technical teams (internal and outsourced resources) to enable a well-coordinated implementation. Also oversees the delivery of required work packages and escalates issues to management when required.
  • Provides clear platform status communication to key stakeholders, Project Managers, Resource Managers, Outsourced Managed Infrastructure providers and senior management.
  • Engage external service providers that deliver the outsourced services to ensure maximum adherence to agreed metrics, while aiming for the improvement of service and staff performance, end-user satisfaction, and collaboration among service providers.
  • Required to work on moderately complex tasks, projects, activities, or support issues that require increased skill in multiple technical, social, and service environments.
  • Clearly and effectively communicating to stakeholders the performance of the SAP Platform.

  • Previous service delivery/service management experience

  • A focus on customer satisfaction and high-quality service delivery, with strong interpersonal skills and responsiveness.
  • Adherence to IT policies and processes to ensure consistent quality of service.
  • Capacity to lead by example and develop strong personnel performance goals.
  • Ability to drive process improvement to continually improve service and reduce costs.
  • Ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders, gain their confidence and persuade them to cooperate with initiatives where required
KEY QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCES:
  • Bachelors degree in computer science, information systems or other related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Hands-on experience with complex enterprise systems, networks and technologies, S4/HANA and SAP certification.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation.
  • Excellent analytical and technical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Typically, has at least five to years of IT work experience related to the service function in an environment similar in size and complexity
  • A track record of implementing and maintaining best practices and standards
