Job Description

Position Title: Temp Packaging MonitorPosition Type: Temporary - Full-TimePosition Location: Florenceville PotatoGrade: Scale 05Requisition ID: 19435McCain Foods (Canada) has a current opportunity for four temporary Packaging Monitors to join our team at the Florenceville, NB French Fry Plant.Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for the accurate completion of all related documentation and HACCP system procedures for the Production areas
  • Must maintain all required documentation and check sheets (codes, seals, metal detector checks, etc.) for all Packaging lines
  • Responsible for following all safety requirements as discussed during orientation
  • Maintaining a neat work area, as well as a daily housekeeping report of the area
  • Responsible for identification and reporting of quality issues (such as bad back seal, incorrect codes, etc.)
  • All additional duties as they become assigned
  • Participate in Team meetings, as required
  • Filling out paperwork and entering data on computer accurately and efficiently
  • Communicate any changes, issues, etc. to other operators.
  • Must be able to work shifts on a rotating basis
  • Ensure SQCDPE targets are met by understanding and goal setting of KPI’s
  • Must follow “Good Manufacturing Practices” (GMP’s)
Qualifications:
  • Grade 12 or GED would be considered an asset
  • Basic computer skills would be an asset
  • Ability to work well with plant supervision and production employees
  • Team player with excellent attendance
  • Successful completion of 90 day training period
  • Ability to accept and embrace change in the day to day operations
Applicants must possess a good safety record and continually demonstrate “safety first.” Selection of employees for promotion is based upon such factors as ability, special training, experience, prior PEP Ratings, attendance, ability to meet the physical demands of the position, education, length of service, and involvement in additional assignments. Length of service will be the determining factor when all other factors are relatively equal. Testing may be required depending on the position applied for. Interviews will held as necessary and those selected for interview are determined based on meeting the criteria as noted above. An evaluation period will be used to determine the candidate’s suitability to the position.
