Job Description

Position Title: Vendor Management AnalystPosition Type: Regular - Full-TimePosition Location: Florenceville GTC OR Toronto HQGrade: Grade 03Requisition ID: 14782We know the importance that food plays in peoples lives – the power it has to bring people, families and communities together. Our purpose is to bring enjoyment to people’s lives through great tasting food, in a way which reflects our values.McCain relies on partnerships with many vendors to build IT business solutions and we are seeking a Business Analyst to help drive the adoption of vendor management best practices and ultimately better vendor performance. The candidate will play a key role on a collaborative team working together to move the needle forward on realizing the full potential of contracts with our vendors.The ideal candidate for this position is curious about how to improve our procurement decision making capability by analyzing and reporting past vendor performance. Self-motivation and ability to work independently within broad guidelines and under time constraints are required to successfully deliver upon a number of projects simultaneously.The successful candidate will gain enterprise-level experience across a range of IT operations with significant exposure to procurement, information security, project management, and contract management to name a few. The candidate will join a culture that values their career growth where they can leverage development programs and mentoring opportunities to take their career to the next level.Key Accountabilities

  • Work with development teams to ensure vendor contracts are realizing their expected value
  • Provide training to build strong vendor relationships through a team of IT vendor managers
  • Gather and analyze vendor spend data and transform it into new insights to be leveraged by management decision makers
  • Catalog contract metadata and use to enable effective contract management across a diverse portfolio of projects
  • Develop vendor-performance reports in areas that include (but not limited to) quality, capacity, systems and responsiveness.
  • Drive maturity within the organization in the areas of reporting, analysis, and dashboard outputs of vendor performance.
  • Ensure operational vendor managers are mitigating, monitoring and managing vendor risks.
  • Be constantly curious and continue to pursue in-depth explorations of our vendor relationships.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Up to 2 equivalent years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role with an emphasis on process, exposure to contracts, or working with third party vendors. Will consider high-potential new business graduates.
  • Proven experience in areas of Procurement and Vendor Relationship Management preferred
  • Experience with facilitation skills and a clear ability to build strong relationships with business and technical stakeholders at all levels
  • Exhibits a thorough, detail-oriented and highly organized approach. Some knowledge of project management methodology would be an asset.
  • Displays self-motivation, leadership skills and a desire to learn and grow.
  • Superior communication, relationship building, and influencing skills are highly desired
This position is located at the Global Technology Centre in Florenceville-Bristol, New Brunswick and reports to the Sr. Director, Technology Vendor Management. Florenceville-Bristol is a small community nestled on the banks of the Saint John River and offers a global work environment with a small-town pace of life.
