Position Title: Warehouse LabourerPosition Type: Regular - Full-TimePosition Location: Florenceville MainGrade: Scale 02 ($17.22/Hour)Requisition ID: 8858McCain Foods (Canada) – Carlton Cold Storage has an immediate opening for a full-time Warehouse Labourer. This role is one that builds employee capability, leading to promotion to progressive roles from within our team. This team member will have primary responsibility for the safe operation of recasing, reworking and ensuring the food safety and trace-ability of our product, while cross-training and developing, as needs arise to operate a lift truck, and it is expected that incumbents in this role are ready, willing and able to progress to partial picking and other Cold Storage Forklift positions to meet the operational needs of Carlton Cold Storage. This is an entry-level position and successful candidates are expected to take on advanced internal postings within Carlton Cold Storage as they become available. This expectation and structure will be implemented to further develop our overall capability in the Warehouse. This is a physical role requiring lifting of 40lbs and other physical tasks as well as a mix of day and rotating shifts.Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.Other Skills and Abilities:Basic Mechanical aptitude is required.Training:Must attend/complete annual training as determined by employer.Must be willing to train and develop peers and other team members.Work Environment:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
