Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPosition Summary:As a Deburr Operator, you will be responsible for performing deburring, finishing, and cleaning operations on aerospace components to maintain specific tolerances and ensure high-quality workmanship. This position involves working with materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, mild steel, copper alloys, and plastics. You will use a variety of power and hand tools, as well as deburring equipment, to remove burrs, scratches, and imperfections from metallic parts.Key Responsibilities:• Perform deburring and finishing operations on aerospace components by following shop orders, blueprints, and other instructions.• Work with various materials including aluminum, stainless steel, mild steels, copper alloys, and plastics.• Visually inspect parts for compliance with quality and workmanship standards.• Select appropriate files or abrasives based on the material, size, and shape of the workpieces.• Maintain close visual attention during operations to prevent damage to parts or equipment.• Follow work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures for tool setup, operation, process verification, product inspection, documentation, and material handling.• Log jobs in/out of the ERP system, handle materials, and move parts to and from appropriate locations.• Detect and address surface imperfections such as dings, dents, and scratches.• Stay focused during repetitive, detail-oriented deburring tasks.• Contribute to maintaining a professional, safe, and clean work environment while protecting company assets.• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and proficiency with small hand tools.• Be reliable and flexible, with the ability to work additional hours to complete orders and meet customer demands.• Collaborate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization and communicate with professionalism and high ethical standards.• Complete assigned tasks on time and efficiently.Qualifications:• Fine dexterity skills and efficiency with hand tools.• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and documents such as safety rules and operating instructions.• Strong attention to detail, a solid work ethic, and a willingness to learn.• Ability to sit for extended periods and perform repetitive work.• Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally.• High school diploma or equivalent, with 2-5 years of related experience preferred.• Previous experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment is preferred, but not required.• CGD and ITAR compliance, with no restrictions.This role is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical aptitude who thrives in a detail-oriented, hands-on environment.
