This permanent position is for a Controller who will work in the Winnipeg, Manitoba region.How you will make an impact- Manage a team out of several offices in Canada as well as USA- Research, prepare and execute Finance Department initiatives such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as required- Analyze, apply and improve policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies- Review and revise deliverables of self and team to ensure that they meet client expectations- Perform tasks associated with month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliationsamp; G/L analysis- Present monthly financial reports to executive committee and partners- Manage the creation of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts- Oversee the activities of the finance department, such as accounts payable, billingsamp; collections, and payroll- Prepare cash-flow reports that project cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and handle daily cash management- Time monthly billing and other cash management techniques to make sure cash collection is punctualJob Requirements:- Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus- Remarkable analytical, quantitative and social skills- CPA designation - Costing experience required- Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems- Past work in technology, analytics and management experience highly valued- Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued- Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement- Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines- Demonstrated ability to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds- Experience in Manufacturing or Public Practice - Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred- Excellent verbal and written communication skillsRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
