Job Description

Job Summary:

  • Maintain, repair, and install electrical services.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Servicing of plant electrical equipment.
  • Maintain, repair, and install electrical services and plant HVAC equipment.
  • Servicing of batteries and charging equipment.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
Qualifications:
  • Valid journeyman Electrician’s license.
  • Minimum 2 years related experience.
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces.
  • Must be comfortable working at heights.
  • Must be a team player, willing to take on any plant maintenance related tasks as assigned by management.
  • Knowledge of PLC variable frequency AC/DC drive preferred.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving abilities.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • General knowledge of shop floor safety rules and regulations and governmental rules and regulations.
  • Capable of sustained physical effort while working with light and medium weight components.
Working Conditions:
  • 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Work periods in shop and in the office
  • Loud, noisy and dusty shop environment
  • Fast paced environment
  • Work under pressure
  • Works in a well ventilated area
