Job DescriptionJob DescriptionBirch Mountain Enterprises (BME) is hiring a temporary dispatcher to support our Kearl site location for maternity leave coverage. Job Summary:Reporting to the Site Manager, the Dispatcher is responsible for the daily scheduling of drivers and company assets to meet client and company requirements, with a focus on maximizing both to ensure efficiency. Note: This Job Description may not encompass the entire scope of this role, as other duties may be assigned by management. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive calls from customers.
  • Ensure operators have proper instructions to complete customer requests in a safe manner.
  • Assist the client and drivers when questions arise. Resolving client and driver issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed and accurate before passing it on to other departments.
  • Follow up with Maintenance for repairs and maintenance schedules.
  • Coordinating with other departments daily.
  • Booking flights and a camp for employees.
  • Process onboarding for new hires.
  • Various administrative duties.
  • Preparing reports as requested for management and head office.
  • Performing other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is a minimum
  • Post-secondary education is preferred
  • Minimum 5 years #39; experience
  • Above average computer; highly proficient in Microsoft Office. (i.e., SharePoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
  • Must be clean-shaven.
  • Solid knowledge of the trucking and oil and gas industries.
  • Advanced customer service skills.
  • Advanced communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities at the same time.
