Job Summary: Operating from our Clients site location Fort McMurray the Hydro Vac Operator position involves the safe operation of a tri-drive hydro Vac unit.Operators should be mechanically inclined and physically fit to work in all kinds of weather.Preference will be given to candidates that possess previous hydro-vac experience in the industrial sector. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Operate Tri-drive hydro Vac units in a safe and efficient manner
  • Must be physically able to perform tasks and work in all weather
  • Completion of daily documentation including but not limited to daily log books, customer work orders, field level risk assessment, pre/post trip inspections
  • Follow instructions for tasks assigned by Dispatch or Supervisor
  • Complete daily housekeeping of assigned truck to ensure maintenance of company image
  • Attend daily tool box and safety meetings as scheduled and adhere to corporate and site safety regulations and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Possess a valid Class 1 or 3 operator’s license with clean driver’s abstract
  • Minimum 3 years experience (including up to 18 speed manual class 1 equipment)
  • Previous (or related) experience operating hydro Vac units
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • OSSA (or OSSA BSO/CSO) and CSTS certification
  • H2S Alive, Ground Disturbance, Confined space and fall protection certification
  • Must successfully pass BME driver’s evaluation, D amp;A and fit for duty pre-employment screening
