Your Opportunity:The Health Care Aide provides personal care and support to clients in a community setting. Work is assigned according to an established plan of care, in collaboration with the client, family and members of the interdisciplinary team. The Health Care Aide is supervised by a regulated health professional and may perform assigned Restricted Activities under specific circumstances. Documentation of pertinent information and care provision is required, as is participation in relevant in service education. The Health Care Aide provides patient care services as an unregulated worker under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). This position will be based out of the Fort Saskatchewan office, but will provide support to home cares Suburban/Rural East team, which will include travel to the other home care network offices, as required.Description:As a Health Care Aide (HCA), you are responsible for providing personal assistance, supporting activities of daily living and providing comfort and support services to patients (clients, residents) who require short-term assistance or ongoing support. You will work closely with patients, families, and caregivers spanning the continuum of care in home, community or health care facilities. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.
