Located in Hinton and Calgary, with projects throughout Western Canada, we are a leader in the oil and gas industry for turn-key new construction, maintenance and prefabrication and modular construction services.The OpportunityWe are currently seeking a Journeyman Pipefitter for a 10-day project in Fort Saskatchewan to start by April 28. Reporting to the Site Foreman, the candidate will:Measure and select type and size of pipe and related materials according to drawings and job specificationsInspect job sites to determine presence of obstructions, plan sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and the activities of other craftsAssemble and install a variety of valves and fittingsSecure pipe to structures with clamps, brackets or hangersUse and care for the tools and equipment commonly employed on an industrial projectRequirementsJourneyman PipefitterExperience in O&G lease/plant constructionProven commitment to safetyKnowledge of ANSI, ASME and PFI codes and standards, knowledge of the functional operation and purpose of the various piping system components, and knowledge of the various sizes and grades of standard materials employed in an industrial plantAbility to read, interpret and determine dimensional information from drawings and specificationsAbility to measure accurately, lay out work, cut, bevel, thread and fit pipeExperience operating 1 ton picker trucks and standard pipefitting toolsExperience reading PNID and isometric drawingsAcorn software experience preferredAbility to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlinesExcellent communication, attitude, collaborative skills and ability to follow directionsExperience completing Field Level Hazard AssessmentsMUST HAVE:Current - 5 Year Drivers’ Abstract, Valid drivers’ licenceAbility to be at site in Fort Saskatchewan daily, as neither accommodation or subsistence are providedESC H2S AliveStandard First Aid - 2 Day CourseCSTS-09 or CSTS 2020Provide a clean/negative D&A testESC Common Safety Orientation - considered an assetBenefitsOur employees drive our success.
