Job Description

The Fort St. John Association for Community Living has been providing support to adults with developmental disabilities and complex needs for over 60 years, and is currently undergoing a growth phase.The Stewardship Coordinator at Fort St. John Association for Community living plays a pivotal role within the Leadership team, overseeing three integral components crucial to the organization #39;s success. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this multifaceted role involves strategically cultivating enduring relationships with donors, planning, and executing significant fundraising events, and overseeing membership programs. The coordinator leads the development and implementation of strategies for donor stewardship, tailoring approaches for diverse donor segments to foster lasting relationships and maximize engagement and support. This role also coordinates fundraising events, ensuring their success and alignment with the organization #39;s mission. Additionally, overseeing membership programs, ensuring members receive value, engagement, and recognition for their support, is a key responsibility.This is an excluded position and is covered by the non-union compensation guidelines.Key Dutiesamp; Responsibilities: Donor Strategy:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive donor stewardship strategy tailored to diverse donor segments, while also overseeing personalized donor acknowledgment strategies.
  • Ensure timely, meaningful, and individualized communication with donors, provide updates on the impact of their contributions and the organization #39;s milestones.
  • Coordinate and manage donor appreciation and cultivation events to celebrate and honor donors, reinforcing relationships and encouraging ongoing support.
  • Maintain and manage donor records in the organization #39;s database system.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and communications team, creating materials supporting donor stewardship efforts, and maintain consistent messaging and branding.
Events:
  • Strategically plan, execute, collaborate, budget and oversee the entire lifecycle of signature events and programs such as Of the Vine, Gala #39;s, Golf Tournaments, ect., ensuring their effective execution and alignment with the organization #39;s mission.
  • Develop participant surveys, wrap-up reports, evaluations, and final financial reports.
  • Deliver top-quality customer service to donors and event attendees and manage relationships with external vendors and suppliers.
  • Maintain accurate records associated with signature events, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Facilitate all event committees (staff/volunteers), and anticipate future events evaluating trends, challenges and opportunities.
Membership:
  • Oversee the organization #39;s membership programs.
  • Lead the preparation for the Annual General Meeting.
  • Coordinate necessary mailings and membership renewals in collaboration with the Administration Team.
  • Regularly communicate with members to provide updates on the organization #39;s achievements, while creating opportunities for their active participation and support.
Administration:
  • Supervise staff and volunteers, including scheduling, work reviews, training, and personnel actions.
  • Support, coach, and develop staff and volunteers, including new employee onboarding and career development planning.
  • Adhere to budgets, ensure proper reporting of funds, and liaise among management and stakeholders to ensure goals are achieved, processes are evaluated and resolutions are managed.
  • Participate in development and maintenance of policies/protocols, attend workshops, seminars and in-service training.
  • Other duties as required in the day-day operation of the organization.
Qualifications:
  • Related experience or Bachelor #39;s degree or diploma in Event or Fundraising Management.
  • Work experience in events management, donor stewardship or related fields.
  • Experience in developing staff and/or volunteers, modeling a servant leadership approach.
  • Strong organizational, project management and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands.
  • Meticulous records maintenance skills and strong understanding of data integrity.
  • Strong crisis maintenance skills and strong understanding of data integrity.
  • Strong crisis management attributes.
  • Ability to identify the source of problems and identify and implement creative solutions.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally always in a diverse environment.
  • Ability to adapt to new technology, knowledge of event/marketing software is an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
  • A clear and solid understanding of the issues faced by the organization and the industry.
  • Events management, donor stewardship or related field, desire to learn.
  • CFRE Certificate (preferred) willing to provide certification to proper candidate.
Requirements:
  • Valid driver’s license, insuranceamp; reliable transportation.
  • Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check.
  • Double Vaccination for COVID-19.
Work Conditions:
  • Flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Attendance and participation in training.
  • Some opportunity to work remotely, various aspects of the role are required to be in person.
  • Operation of desktop computer and peripherals.
  • Interaction with employees, management, donors, volunteers, clients, and the public.
  • May be required to work long hours.
Salary Range: $60,000-$80,000 (based on experience) Benefits:
  • Comprehensive benefits and pension package.
  • 3 weeks #39; vacation.
  • Paid sick time.
Hours of Work:As required, with a minimum of 35 hours per week. Participation in meetings and events may involve long workdays, frequent travel, and evening or weekend work.Ability to commute/relocate:
