We are looking to hire an Environmental Service II - Housekeeping to join the Linen & Environmental team. Environmental Services is a patient and customer-service-focused department consisting of approximately 6000 employees across the province. It is responsible for the 24 hour/7 days per week maintenance of AHS hospitals’ environmental cleaning and waste stream management functions. This position has an important impact on the delivery of front line healthcare services. You will be required to perform a variety of cleaning services within a hospital environment in compliance with AHS and departmental policies, procedures, and standards. Duties include cleaning of clinical and non-clinical areas including occupied and discharge/transfer patient rooms as well as project cleaning and waste stream management. Your typical duties may include operating industrial cleaning equipment for floor maintenance, thorough washing of ceilings and windows and emptying hazardous waste. You may also provide training/orientation to Environmental staff.
