Fox Creek is a great place to call home.POSITION SUMMARYThe role of the Community Resource Centre Facilitator is to assist in the development, coordination and delivery of programs and services. This role will focus on The Family Resource Network—Home Visitation Program. The Home Visitation program is a voluntary program for families with children from prenatal to six years of age in Fox Creek, Valleyview, Debolt, Sunset House, Sturgeon Lake and surrounding areas. The facilitators goals are to promote greater connections between parent and child, improve parenting knowledge and skills, foster healthy child development, encourage safe home environments, as well as help families access the resources which exist in their communitiesRESPONSIBILITIESShall be required to adhere to process and policies in support of municipal goals and legislative requirements.

  • Developing, planning and executing programming to meet the needs of the clientele
  • Acting as a liaison and maintaining good working relationships with applicable governing bodies and organizations
  • Maintaining a resource centre containing information relevant to the programs
  • Planning, developing and implementing advertising and marketing strategies
  • Maintaining filing systems and client files
  • General accounting tasks such as budgeting and coding
  • Travel to family homes and communities in the service area
  • Plan develop and facilitate appropriate service delivery for clientele within the framework of the Home Visitation Program guidelines
  • Establish trusting relationships with parents, children and families
  • Connect clientele with support networks, outside agencies, community resources and organize ongoing service delivery
  • Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Requirements:
  • Have successfully attained a Grade 12 diploma or GED certificate
  • Should have a post-secondary education in Social or Human Services
  • Preferred 5 year practical experience or combination of education and experience
  • Provide an acceptable Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Provide an acceptable Alberta Driver Abstract Report
  • Have access to a vehicle suitable for highway travel and have the appropriate insurance for work travel
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office, as well as excellent organizational abilities and good knowledge or additional computer applications
  • Have the ability to work with clients from all age groups and of diverse cultural groups, one on one or in group setting
  • Be able to read, write, speak and understand English
