The School Social Worker will support schools and staff in various issues in the context of school social work practice. Description:This is entry level professional social work involving the provision of services/interventions to individuals, families, and groups to improve social functioning. The work involves assessment and preparation of case analysis; identification of social needs and recommending appropriate action. Employees are responsible for preparing case analysis and reports, acting as a resource to educators and are establishing/maintaining effective working relationships with students, parents, teaching staff, groups, other government departments, community agencies and the public. As the variety and difficulty of assignments increases, more latitude in independent judgment and decision-making is permitted as the employee acquires knowledge and skill in the assigned areas of activities.
