Job Description

DescriptionYou belong at Dayamp; Ross.Associate Legal CounselFull-Time (Hybrid)NB, Canada (Fredericton or Hartland)The Associate Legal Counsel provides legal advice and services that proactively support Dayamp; Ross Inc.’s business strategy and operations.How You #39;ll Help:

  • Research and provide legal advice and opinion in all areas of business law, particularly: litigation, employment, contractual, corporate taxes, mergers and acquisitions, corporate structure issues, government reporting and general corporate commercial law.
  • Stay on top of legal developments, recognizing how and when they could affect business and proactively bringing such matters to the attention of appropriate senior officials.
  • Research, prepare and edit required legal documentation to support business transactions.
  • Engage and manage external counsel to support larger, more complex files or as required.
  • Other related duties and/or responsibilities as required.
Your Skillsamp; Experience:
  • J.D./ LL.B and admission to the bar in a Canadian jurisdiction.
  • Additional training and courses in corporate law an asset.
  • 3-5 years experience practicing law; corporate or commercial experience preferred.
  • A suitable combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent oral and exceptional written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail with ability to prepare and proofread legal documents.
  • Motivated, self-starter.
  • Ability to work productively under pressure.
  • Superior organizational skills and ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Conceptual and creative problem-solving skills for a business environment.
  • French language skills considered a strong asset.
