If you want to shine a light on academic excellence, be empowered to make an impact on the transformation of the Canadian post-secondary education landscape, and work collaboratively beyond levels, join us.Who we needReporting to the Director of the Centre for Teaching Excellence and Innovation (CTEI), we have a newly created opportunity for a Coordinator, Centre for Teaching Excellence and Innovation to join our dynamic, entrepreneurial team.As the operational and organizational backbone of the CTEI, you will work closely with the Director and Senior Educational Developers (SEDs) to coordinate programs, partnerships, communications, and processes that shine a light on academic excellence and innovation across Yorkville University and Toronto Film School. You will manage schedules, track data, centralize information, and ensure that workshops, events, and initiatives run seamlessly—often behind the scenes, but always at the heart of our impact. This is a full time role, currently following a hybrid model working both on-site at our Fredericton office and remotely with occasional travel to our campuses in British Columbia and Ontario.What’s in it for youImpact. • Support faculty excellence. You will be the first point of contact for faculty and staff seeking guidance on teaching strategies, course design, and learning innovation. You will respond to inquiries with professionalism and resourcefulness, connecting staff and instructors to tools, resources, and training that enhance teaching effectiveness.
• Coordinate educational development. You will organize workshops, webinars, trainings, and educational development sessions on topics such as teaching philosophies, assessment strategies, active learning techniques, and inclusive teaching practices. You will schedule facilitators, help prepare materials, and manage logistics to ensure a seamless developmental experience for participants.
• Maintain resources. You will help curate and update teaching and learning guides, toolkits, and online resource repositories to ensure faculty, instructors, and staff have access to current, evidence-informed pedagogies and practices. You will track resource usage, collect feedback, and recommend updates based on trends and needs.
• Collaborate. You will work closely with Teaching and Learning team members, academic leaders, and other campus partners to advance teaching quality and innovation initiatives. You will assist with special projects, pilots, and research activities within the Centre, contributing ideas and solutions to enhance impact.
• Track and report. You will monitor registration and participation in educational development programs and maintain accurate records of activities, attendance, and outcomes. You will prepare reports that highlight engagement levels, emerging needs, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Champion teaching. You will promote CTEI events, programs, and partnerships across the institution, encouraging faculty participation in workshops, communities of practice, and teaching awards programs. You will identify trends in higher education teaching and learning, sharing insights with the team to inform programming.

What you bring:

• The education and experience. You have at minimum a Bachelor’s degree. You have experience supporting faculty development, coordinating training programs, and/or working within a teaching and learning centre in a post-secondary environment.
• The interpersonal skills. You are a clear, effective communicator and an active, engaged listener. You can build positive relationships with faculty and staff across disciplines. You demonstrate respect for diverse perspectives and prioritize equity, inclusivity, accessibility, and pedagogical justice.
• The collaboration. You work well individually and in team environments and can partner effectively across all levels and departments. You share information openly, seek input from others, and contribute to a culture of collegiality, respect, reciprocity, and continuous improvement and relationality.
• The organizational skills. You can manage multiple projects, deadlines, and event logistics simultaneously without losing attention to detail. You document processes and maintain records with accuracy.
• The technical skills. You are highly proficient with Excel and comfortable using the full MS Office Suite. You can enter, track and analyze data. You are confident using learning management systems (knowledge and familiarity with D2L Brightspace an asset), virtual meeting platforms, and digital collaboration tools.
• The flexibility. You can adapt to shifting priorities and respond to urgent faculty and staff needs during peak academic periods. You are comfortable balancing in-person and virtual support, adjusting your approach based on the needs of faculty and institutional initiatives.
