LeverageTek is actively seeking an IT Business Analyst (Financial Applications) for a 6-Month contract with its customer in the Ottawa/Gatineau Region.Work location: Hybrid (1-2 days a week on-site at customers HQ)Key Tasks• Critically evaluate business requirements gathered from multiple sources and identify the underlying business needs• Assess and validate software solutions in order to document gap analysis with recommendations• Facilitate sessions, interviews, and analysis to identify areas for process and systems improvements• Prepare Business Requirements Documents (BRDs}, including functional and non-functional requirements• Ensure knowledge transfer to users by providing complete and updated documentation and by identifying appropriate training needs• Ensure awareness and approval for releases, enhancement, defects and any other changes that impact the ITSM system and processes.• Assist with implementing and facilitating change management within assigned projects and day to day operational requirements related to the organizations Corporate Financial Systems and Applications.• Engage Subject Matter Expert (SME) guidance related to Corporate Financial Systems and Applications to create awareness and adoption of technical processes and business groups.Coordinate, schedule, participate in weekly, monthly, quarterly project team meetingsKey Qualifications• Minimum 5+ years of recent experience as an IT Business Analyst with a focus on Corporate Financial Systems and Applications. This includes supporting Financial Applications Software implementation projects. (replacement, upgrades, enhancements etc.)• Strong experience supporting projects and day to day operations with Finance and Accounting as a primary stakeholder.• Experience with traditional Business Analyst documentation and requirements gathering activities including the development of Business Requirements Documents (BRDs).Qualifications• Proven experience with implementing, configuring, and supporting Financial ERP/COTS systems as well as providing analysis and recommended solutions.• Understanding of how a Finance application can be configured to support business processes.• Advanced problem-solving skills to diagnose day-to-day Finance systems-related issues/ requirements and troubleshoot solutions.• Expert analytical skills to address systems-based requirements and perform analysis on a range of complex Finance issues.Assets• Experience with OneStream Financial Software is a strong asset• Experience in a Project Coordinator/Project Manager role is an asset.• Experience with Project Management Software tools such as MS Project, Clarity PPM is an asset.• Strong Educational or work experience background in Finance (in particular Accounting) is an asset• CBAP designation is considered an asset• Lean Six Sigma Certification is considered an assetAbout LeverageTek Staffing SolutionsFounded in 2003, LeverageTek provides end-to-end, cross-functional staffing solutions throughout North America.
