The Operator 2 shall work alongside the Operator 1 including guiding and providing the material handlers with their daily workloads. This position demands both physical and technical skills.Principal Accountabilities:Operate PLC to control and run grinders and mixers. Physically setting tank valves correctly in order to pump product to a designated tank. Document all necessary information onto a Batch Sheet, such as material/lot numbers, weights, times, etc. as well as inputting the final draft into SAP data base and our Daily Production Report using excel. Verify tank inventories are updated at the end of each shift Must be able to take direction, as well as provide direction to Material Handlers, including ingredient lists, lead and follow refining activities including inventory control, employee coverage, cleaning tasks, etc. Work alongside and communicate well with all departments to ensure that production needs are met. Promote personal safety as well as follow food safety procedures Perform analytical testing on all batches, such as fat, color, viscosity and finess. Adjust batches to formula specifications as needed. Standardize products/tanks to meet shipping deadlines. Strong mathematical skills Problem solving, troubleshooting, and solution implementation Perform miscellaneous job related duties as assignedThis is a Night Shift position – from 10:45 pm to 7:00 am.Hourly rate is $ 22.95 CAD plus shift premium of 0.50 cents .Required:Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old Must be able to perform physical job duties including bending/stooping, climbing ladders, open/close valves Ability to lift a minimum of 55 pounds Must be able to work under special work conditions, such as extreme heat or cold Ability to work in elevated areas Must be able to operate machinery Must be able to read/write English High School diploma or equivalent Basic computer skills Ability to work overtime Ability to work holidays, nights, weekends or different shifts At least 3-5 years of experience in production related work Must be able to perform maintenance trades including pumps and piping systemsPreferred:Able to operate heavy equipment Forklift certified Able to perform maintenance trades including, lubrication, mechanical maintenance and hydraulic and pneumaticThis Full Time position is located in Georgetown, ON; however please expect receiving calls from a 204 area code in case you are considered.
