This position would report to the senior carpenter on site.The position would include, but not be limited to:- Co-operatively working with clients, team members, and other trades at all times.- Loading and unloading of tools ,equipment, and materials- Setting up tools for use (install blades, bits, etc..)- Demolition of existing structures and substrates- Waste removal- Measuring and cutting of materials to size with various hand and power tools- Measuring and marking layout of features, fixtures and other items- Occasional assistance during structural beam installs- Wood framing- Insulation and vapour barrier install- Drywall install and taping- Flooring material installs- Trim and door install- Painting- Site maintenance and clean-up- Other duties as assigned.Training will be provided for any/all of the above as required to help employees become proficient, and to perform tasks safely.No certifications are required, but the following would be an asset:- Working at heights- Basic first-aid- WHIMSTools required:- Safety boots- Hard hat (Retreats will provide)- Tool apron- Tape measure- Hammer- Utility knifeUniform:- Toques, caps, t-shirts, and sweatshirts with company logo provided to all employees at no cost, to maintain a professional image on site.Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, ApprenticeshipSalary: $18.00-$25.00 per hourAdditional pay:
