Job Description

We are currently looking for a Health & Safety Administrator Assistant. Come join the team!DESCRIPTIONThe Health and Safety Administrators main function is to provide a high level of administrative support and act as the right hand to the Regional Health and Safety Supervisor and to the Director of Health and Safety while effectively managing a demanding schedule. The Health and Safety Administrator liaises with internal staff members at all levels and with external stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day operations.This role will be based out of our Georgetown warehouse office location.RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide administrative support for the Health and Safety team
  • Manage and monitor health and safety documents
  • Organize and coordinate meetings
  • Assist with preparation of meeting minutes
  • Schedule health and safety trainings
  • Manage compliance documents
  • Manage Health & Safety calendar
  • Onboard sub-trades for sites on Salus Pro and provide administrator support for Salus Pro
  • File the sub-trades’ weekly, toolbox talks, H&S inspections, equipment inspections, disinfectant logs and monthly Health and Safety rep inspections
  • Create Health and Safety reports for ELT
  • WSIB submission and monitor return to work forms
  • Manage incident reports and WSIB excellence program
  • Review legislation to keep up to date
  • Maintain and upload JHSC meeting minutes and recordings
  • General administrative tasks (sending emails, filing, etc.)
  • And other duties as required/assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in similar position (construction industry experience an asset)
  • Degree or Certificate in Health & Safety, or similar
  • Bilingual (French and English) is an asset
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office software
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation in the Construction industry
  • Strong teamwork abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
  • Dynamic, strong time management skills and ability to prioritize
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
