Our mission is to offer a safe and supportive environment where clients can heal, recover, and achieve long-term sobriety.Job Summary:We are seeking skilled and motivated Building Maintenance Workers who are passionate about creating a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for our clients and staff. The ideal candidates will possess a strong sense of responsibility, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to upholding the high standards of Aurora Recovery Centre.Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as repairing plumbing systems, electrical systems, and HVAC systems.- Conduct regular inspections of the building to identify and address any maintenance issues.- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants or employees.- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for repairs or installations that require specialized skills.- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).- Supervise and train maintenance staff, ensuring that they adhere to safety protocols and perform their duties effectively.- Fabricate or repair various items within the building as needed.- Maintain a clean and organized work area.Qualifications:- Proven experience in building maintenance or a related field.- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and train staff.- Proficiency in using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for recordkeeping and scheduling.- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with tenants, employees, and contractors.- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general construction principles.- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose maintenance issues accurately.- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks such as lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.- High school diploma or equivalent.
