Job Description

Faroex, located in Gimli, Manitoba, is division of NanoXplore Inc. a manufacturing company specializing in the production of plasticamp; composite components for the Agriculture, Alternative Energy, and Commercial Transportation markets.Faroex is seeking a Mechanical, Industrial or Process Technologist, who will be responsible for carrying out design, development, continuous improvement, and maintenance/repair projects. This position provides a diverse range of duties related to production troubleshooting, equipmentamp; tooling design, facilityamp; equipment upgrades, and process developmentamp; refinement. Other duties may include hands-on work focused on new productamp; process development.The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering Technology from an accredited University or College.
• Eligible for registration with CTTAM as a Technologist.
• Experience related to tooling, equipment, product, or process design.
• A hands-on individual capable of providing innovative and practical solutions to problems.
• Proficient in design using Solid modeling software (preferably Solid Edge or Solid Works).
• Strong knowledge of fabrication, machining, manufacturing, and assembly processes.
• Continuous improvement driven attitude.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills (in English) and the ability to work effectively with customers, vendors, and various personnel throughout the organization.
• Proficient in using the Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Strong organization and time management skills and the ability to effectively carry out multiple projects.
• Composites or plastics manufacturing experience a definite asset.
• Lean manufacturing experience an asset.
• Process automation, PLC #39;s, and hands-on machiningamp; fabricating a definite asset.
