Beaver Brook Antimony Mine (BBAM), located 43 KM Southwest of Glenwood, NL, is currently seeking candidates for a potential future vacancy in the position of Registered GeologistDuties & Responsibilities. Coordination of Geological activities on site to achieve the budgeted mine plan.· Provide required input into the mine planning process (grade forecasting) through effective communications with the Engineering Department (includes grade forecast for the weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly and Life of mine plan).· Attending regular planned production meetings and communicate any grade control concerns.· Manage the collection and of all underground sample data (mucks, chips, test holes, drilling) and mapping to ensure proper use of all information for mining purposes.· Ensure the underground sample database is up to date daily for effective assignment of grades for the ore flow.· Forecasting, monitoring, controlling and reporting on mine geology financial performance against budgets.· Direct monthly reconciliation of mining solids with reserve/resource models and comment on variances. Champion the continued improvement mine to model to Mill reconciliation process.· Design and implementation of all “operations†supported drilling programs to ensure short-term mine plan is achieved (Budget year plan). Ensure drilling performance report data is meeting expectations.· Coordinate and produce Monthly Mine Geology operations report.· Plan, monitor, control and report against project timelines and milestones.· Lead from the front to ensure compliance with the companies Zero Harm safety conscious culture.· Other duties from time to time.Skills, Education & Experience· Registered Professional Geologist (P.Geo.)· B.Sc. in Geology or tertiary education in Geology· Strong academic and applied background in structural geology· At least 8 years relevant experience with 5 years plus in underground· Clear written and verbal communication· Strong Computer proficiency - experience in the use of Geological software ( such as Surpac) is essential, as well as Microsoft Office etc.· Strong understanding of Resource modeling, estimation and geostatistics· Working knowledge of underground drilling, sampling, assay, and QAQC methods.Applicants MUST have a current legal authorization to work in Canada.Note: Please apply and submit your resume, with cover letter (if applicable), ONLINE.
