Job Description

We are seeking Community Support Workers for a temporary position for day/evening support of adult individuals with ABI at our Haliburton Cottage Getaway this summer.Our Cottage Getaway will be held Sunday, July 2nd to Sunday, July 9th. You will be expected to stay at the cottage for the whole week. This is a camp-like situation, and the pay is $240.00 per day.The cottage is located on Glamor Lake, near the village of Gooderham, and preference will be given to those living in or within close proximity to the area.RESPONSIBILITIES:- Preparing and assisting with meal preparation, shopping, cleaning, etc.- Accompanying cottagers on outings, participating in recreational activities, both indoor and outdoor as well as engaging in household tasks and activities e.g. cooking- Supervising cottagers at all times, particularly in and around the lake/dock areaREQUIREMENTS· Possess or are pursuing education within recreation, acquired brain injury, behaviour therapy, rehabilitation services, or other related field· Current First Aid/CPR· Vulnerable sector check· Full G driver’s license with reliable vehicle· Easy going nature· Fully vaccinated for COVID-19· Common sense approach· Demonstrated ability to recognize safety concerns and communicate effectively using a computer and/or mobile devicePlease forward your resume ASAP.
