INTERMEDIATE CLERK STENOGRAPHER (BAND LEVEL 2)Faculty of Nursing (1 year contractual position)(Position is located in Grand Falls Windsor)DUTIESThe successful applicant will be required to perform moderately difficult and varied clerical work which involves some independent judgment. Duties include providing office reception; responding to queries from the public and the university community in person, by phone, or by email; typing documents as requested; sorting and distributing mail; preparing and tracking work orders for maintenance and house-keeping; maintaining photocopy machines and tracking usage via monthly reading and also auditron reports; preparing requisitions for printing; preparing key requests; booking rooms and providing classroom support; trouble shooting for the multimedia equipment in the classrooms; entering pre-clinical placement requirements into HSPnet; storing student immunization records as per PHIA requirements, assigning student lockers; updating display boards; ordering office supplies and paper; updating phone directories and course schedule for distribution to other faculty, staff and administrators; updating course schedule; printing exams and returning completed exams to faculty member by registered courier; and performing other related duties as required.QUALIFICATIONSExperience (1-3 years) in moderately difficult and varied clerical work; graduation from high school, including or supplemented by courses in business education and word processing; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
