Today, we are setting the benchmark across every tire and travel-related services market, while leading a global strategy to drive sustainable, profitable growth.Reporting to the Director of Personnel for Michelin North America (Canada) Inc., and in tandem with the Total Rewards Organization based in Greenville, South Carolina, the Canadian Compensation Manager will be responsible for the Compensation and Total Personnel Cost Management of Michelin Canada. Michelin Group's Canadian operations are made up of a diverse employee population located primarily in Nova Scotia and Quebec which includes a significant portion of the North American tire manufacturing base as well as the global headquarters for the 'Beyond Road' division. The primary focus will be on Canadian topics but as part of the North America Total Rewards Organization there will also be a broader involvement and responsibility for regional work.Core responsibilities include strategy and delivery for the (i) annual salary review, (ii) annual bonus payments, (iii) sales incentive plan, (iv) wage employee compensation, (iv) post acquisition integration support (v) compensation program accrual setting / budgeting, (vi) total personal cost forecasting, (vii) Total Rewards Benchmarking, and (viii) HRIS Compensation System Maintenance and Support (Workday). This is a highly analytical position which will work closely with both the Human Resources team and Controlling and Finance group.ResponsibilitiesPrimary Responsibilities and Essential Functions(30%) Strategy and Administers of compensation programs (e.g. base pay, incentive compensation, broad band market medians, recognition, etc.).(20%) Conducting sophisticated statistical analyses and providing meaningful insights related to base pay delivery, incentive compensation, and other pay for performance programs.(20%) Total Personal Cost Evaluation and Forecasting.(10%) Accrual and budget setting.(10%) HRIS Compensation System Management (Workday).(10%) Integration support for the 'Beyond Road' division (Camso acquisition period 2021 through 2023).QualificationsRequirements for this position include:Broad background in general compensation including job design, market pricing, general sales compensation methods and practices and surveys;5 or more years of direct compensation analysis experience;Proven experience in related field (i.e., Human Resources, Financial Analysis, Controlling, etc.); andA Bachelor's degree in a related field is strongly desired (i.e. Human Resources, Business, Mathematics, etc.).The following assets are preferred, but not required:CCP would be a bonus;Experience with Compensation tools such as Market Survey instruments and their use and creation of Internal and external equity analysis;Solid understanding of Microsoft Word & PowerPoint;Expert Excel analysis ability;Project Management experience and/or certification; andWorkday Compensation module experience.The ideal candidate would:Possess strong written and verbal communication skills;Be analytical with strong critical thinking skills and the ability to exercise independent judgment;Have high level of interpersonal skills to handle critical and confidential situations, as this position requires proven customer orientation, poise, tact, integrity and diplomacy;Use good judgment for independent decision-making related to duties required, and be self-motivated in order to work independently with limited supervision;Have strong planning and organizational skills and excellent attention to detail; andBe comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with the demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple contending tasks and demands.Work With UsHow to apply:Please merge your covering letter and resume into one PDF document.
