You’ll be a part of an entire organization that will never be satisfied with the status quo and will always be looking for ways to improve and be more efficient while taking care of the customer.The RoleReporting to the Regional Operations Manager, the Mill Operator is responsible to ensure the timely manufacture of animal feed and ingredients. This role involves shift work and manual labour in indoor and outdoor settings (training provided). Feed mill production experience is considered an asset but is not required. We seek people who will bring a collaborative approach, positive attitude, strong work ethic, and focus on quality to work with them every day.Primary Roles and Responsibilities

• Maintain and exceed regulatory compliance requirements for safety, HACCP, FeedAssure and CFIA
• Inspection, sampling and receipt of bulk, bagged and toted ingredients into the production facility (trucks and rail cars)
• Accurate manufacture, packaging and labelling of manufactured feed; monitoring of mill automation software operation board
• Loadout and of feed orders onto bulk or bag trucks for shipment
• Ensure production and delivery schedules are met
• Weighing incoming and outgoing trucks
• Ensure ingredient bins are filled, cleaning out as required
• Ensure preventative maintenance items are completed on all equipment; assist in repair and maintenance projects as required
• Maintain facility cleanliness

Skills & Experience Required

• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to adapt, learn and thrive within a fast paced and ever-changing environment
• Detail oriented and resourceful with strong analytical capabilities and decision-making skills
• A strong positive team player who is open to learning, challenging and improving
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications include

• Feed mill production experience is considered an asset but is not required
• Forklift certification is considered an asset but is not required
• WHMIS 2015 certification is considered an asset but is not required
• Basic knowledge of MS Office applications
• Forklift certification
