Join our team of Manitobas best as we continue to build a company that supports innovation,commitment and customer service.We are seeking five Seasonal Utilityworkers to join our Eastern Generation Department in Great Falls, Manitoba for anapproximate six month term extending from May 2022 to November 2022.Responsibilities:

  • Participate actively and positively in the development of the team and the achievement of the teams goals.
  • Assist tradespeople and technicians in the performance of their duties.
  • Assist with rough carpentry and concrete work, grouting and cement finishing, bricklaying, fence erection and building
erection.
  • Assist in plant cleanliness, painting, grass cutting, landscaping, maintenance of roads and grounds, and snow removal.
  • Ensure that duties performed comply with Corporate and regulatory environmental requirements. Report any incidents or
situations that may be harmful to the environment or in violation of corporate or regulatory requirements.
  • Operate simple electrical and pneumatic tools.
  • Perform rigging work which will require climbing ability.
  • Operate the following mobile equipment as required: cars, trucks, track-mobiles, tractors, front-end loaders, backhoe,
snowmobile, motor boat, powerhouse cranes and other light equipment.
  • Assist in the placement and removal of stop logs on forebay and tailrace gates.
  • Required to perform grinding duties during the turbine runner repairs and also assist in scroll case inspections.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum Grade 10 education or equivalent.
  • Required to have a minimum of one year related experience.
  • Semi-skilled in the work of the building trades.
  • Physically capable of working at heights and in adverse weather conditions.
  • Fully understand and adhere to regulations pertaining to the use of power tools and Corporation safety rules.
  • Capable of understanding and following written and oral instructions, plans and sketches of small projects.
  • Requires the ability to work harmoniously with fellow employees.
  • Familiar with the use of the EAM system.
  • Possess a valid Manitoba Drivers Licence and be willing to obtain a Class 5 License with air brake endorsement.
