Job Description

Location: CA-ON-NAPANEE-PLT-990-2038Goodyear Talent Acquisition Representative: Julie ScarbroSponsorship Available: NoRelocation Assistance Available: No#LI-JS1This position reports directly to the Human Resources Manager.Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership consultation and team member advocacy as a Human Resources (HR) representative in one of the three plant business centers.
  • Ensure fair and equitable implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Audit due diligence to ensure provincial employment standards are met.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution issues, creating win-win situations in a timely and effective manner.
  • Spend daily time on the floor to obtain face-to-face feedback from team members.
  • Provide leadership with “Pulse” feedback through daily time spent in the production area while maintaining team member confidentiality.
  • Assist managers in their relationships with TMs and with their consistent application of Goodyear Napanee policies.
  • Develop and manage clearly defined deliverables for HR team scorecard.
  • Conduct one-on-one Organizational Effectiveness interviews and provide feedback while maintaining the confidentiality of individuals who voice issues and concerns.
  • Assist in the development and auditing of Human Resources systems in the plant.
  • Develop strategies for improvement in a participative, non-union environment.
  • Actively support Plant Optimization and Continuous Skills Development
  • Conduct all activities as per the guidelines of the Company’s Code of Conduct.
  • Willing to work flexible hours in supporting a 24/7 operation.
Education:
  • University degree or college diploma or college certificate. Preference will be given to those candidates possessing HR related education.
Qualifications:
  • The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and abilities required
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a Human Resources or related role is required; HR experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work and communicate with individuals and / or groups.
  • Proven analytical skills regarding problem / conflict resolution.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience with HR procedures / standards.
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated facilitation skills and influence skills (ability to negotiate win/win options).
  • Candidates must be self-directed and able to work with teams to implement change.
  • Knowledge of the Ontario Human Rights and ESA legislation.
